here's my face of the day. I'm sporting my new lipstick by CoverGirl called Spellbound. It's this gorgeous creamy Fuchsia colour. It looks slightly similar to Maybelline Fuchsia Flash but Fuchsia Flash leans more towards the hot pink side where as this is a true magenta/fuchsia colour. It's bright without being unwearable, and it's just a great lipstick overall.

Even though I just bought Revlon Black Cherry today, I couldn't help but put it on. And I absolutely adore it. So dark it's beautiful <3
Just had a little bit of gold on my lids and a nice sharp winged out eyeliner and then of course my bold lip. Can't not get enough of the bold lips lately.

So I finally drove out to walmart, and boy was I glad I did. The make up is honestly so much cheaper at walmart it's crazy.

I was expecting this day to be one of those saturdays where I just stay in, chill in my pajamas, binge out on snacks and watch Breaking Bad and Vampire Diaries. But my mom actually told me randomly to go downtown with her to pick up this coat that she saw today at BCBG Max Azria. They didn't have the colour she wanted in her size so we drove downtown to go pick it up. It's this beautiful fitted Army Green Coat and I'm super glad she got it, because it is absolutely gorgeous. It was on sale and there was a additional 20% off all sale items so she splurged and bought it.
Amongst us rummaging through all the racks quickly (because we hadn't paid our parking meter , figured we'd only be in there for a minute) I found this amazing little clutch wallet that was on sale. The original price was 140 something but it was on sale for $57. And then there was the magical extra 20% off the sale price so I ended up getting an mind-blowing deal on this little guy. I'm so extremely glad I got it, because my mom had purchased one of the Michael Kors iphone wristlets earlier this year, and ever since she's had it, I've been dying to go back to the states to buy one too because of how convenient it looks.

This isn't the exact one that she has (her's wasn't snake skin, it was a glossy black design) but you get the idea. It's a little wristlet wallet that also fits your iphone. Fits three cards and has some larger slots for cash and such.
As much as I had fallen in love with this little number, I am 100 times more in love with my new BCBG wrislet. It is the same concept, iphone slot, larger slots, and 3 card slots but it also has a zip compartment for change and it's slightly bigger than the michael kors one.
My new little baby. I love the duo colour, how it's black on the flap and strap and white for everything else. I am absolutely obsessed with it.
Not only does it have a cute little flap but it also has a zip that goes all the way around so nothing is going to fall out of this wallet if you just throw it in your purse or wear it on your arm when you're shopping.
Here's what it looks like on the inside. Has a big slot that fits my iphone really well, and would even fit an iphone 5 because it is longer (the Michael Kors one barely fits the 5 because it was designed for the 4/4s). It's still empty in this picture because I hadn't filled it up yet, but it is now filled with my drivers license, my debit card and my scene card. Some cash, some change and two more cards.
I snatched the last new one they had in stock at the BCBG Max Azria on Robson street but if you could find one near you, I definitely suggest you pick it up. It's definitely WAY worth the sale price and it's super convenient and cute.

I've been a fan of the triangle love story that is Archie's Comics since I was a little girl. It was cheap to buy, easy to read and just so darn adorable and hilarious. Choosing between Veronica and Betty was even hard for me. Betty was the sweet girl next door. So pretty, pure and simple. You can't NOT love her. But then there was Veronica... The sexy, beautiful rich daddy's girl. She was something bad but who didn't want to BE her ? When I saw that MAC was coming out with a line dedicated to them, I absolutely died.

Finally they've got a new collection out of something I've loved every since I was small, and now that I actually HAVE a bit of money to spend, I've decided I'm going to snatch up one or two of these lipsticks !

I think it's abolutely adorable how they separated the colours into "Betty" colours, and "Veronica" Colours. For me? I think I'll be choosing two only (20 dollars a lipstick?! that's a week's lunch money for me ): ) and as of right now, I think I like either Daddy's Little Girl, Ronnie Red, Boyfriend Stealer, or Betty Bright. I seem to be leaning more to Veronica now that I'm a little bit more grown up ( I definitely used to be pro Betty) and plus I think the colours in Veronica's line would suit me more. I'd still have to go in stores and just swatch them all first, but those four are going to be the ones I'm leaning towards.

Review: Maybelline The Colosal Volume Cat Eye

So with the regular "Colossal Volume" mascara by Maybelline being my favorite drugstore mascara, I was especially excited to try out the cat eye edition when it first came out. I love cat eyes and this mascara so I thought this would be perfect for me. The first time I tried it out I honestly wasn't that impressed. Even the second and third time I tried it I just didnt like it. It's definitely not a bad mascara, it just doesn't meet up with my expectations because the regular Colossal was so much better. This cat eye mascara is more of a lengthening mascara than a voluminous mascara. The reason I loved the regular colossal so much is because of the amazing volume it gives me.
Of course I didn't give up on it, because hey, I spent 10 bucks on it. I WILL get my money's worth (aka I will use up this whole tube of mascara) and the more I use it, the more I'm starting to like it. Yes, it is different from the regular Colossal because it's less of the voluminous look and more of a long spikey spidery look, but honestly, I'm just slowly falling in love with it. It's a different look which is why I guess I didn't like it at first, but this different look is a good look as well ! Other than it being "different" it honestly isn't much "worst" than the regular Colossal. It's formulation is good, nice and dark, not too wet (gets better after 2 or 3 uses), lengthens like crazy and it does what it claims to do !
I picked up the non-waterproof one just because my lashes have no problem holding a curl so I didn't really need to water proof one. I also don't get much problems with smudging under the eye like I sometimes do with other mascaras so that's a plus. But yeah, that's my little review on the Maybelline Cat Eye Mascara. If you're like me, and you didn't like it the first times you tried it out because it was different from the regular one, give it another 2 tries. The more I'm using this mascara, I really am starting to like it a lot more. Would I rather purchase this mascara or the regular one? I would still say the regular Colossal (it is my favorite afterall) but I've only used this mascara about 4 - 5 times so who knows, maybe I'll end up liking it more.

It has a "claw" brush that does wonders for lengthening. The bristles really holds onto your lashes well and makes them look long and spikey.

I don't have non existent lashes (I'm one of the lucky chinese girls who got lashes that are a decent length and also isn't very sparse)
First coat of the Cat Eye mascara. You can clearly see that my lashes got much longer even after one even coat.
Left eye is coated but Right eye is not.
It really does look very nice and dark and spikey.

I guess you can't really consider this a FOTD because you can't actually see my whole face in the picture, but anyways, I finally wore my Fuchsia Flash lipstick ! I've had it for quite a while now but I just never wore it. I wore it today though, and I absolutely loved it. It's so bright and gorgeous, I can't wait to rock it when it gets a little bit warmer. I also wore Lancome Raspberry Ice Juicy Tube on top so it has a nice glossy finish.
I'm hitting up walmart on sunday and I'm super excited about it because that means I'll have a bunch of new make up to try out ! Going to Walmart is super significant because the Walmart in Vancouver is super far from where I live so it's inconvenient for me to ever go there. But I made plans with my girlfriends to go on sunday to check out their make up prices and I know I'm going to end up getting a bunch of stuff so stay tuned for that !

I thought this day would never come, but finally. January 15th 2013... I GOT MY BRACES OFF. It was honestly such an exciting moment for me. Did it hurt ? A little. But honestly just a little bit. It's because the dentist literally just tugs off each bracket, which by itself doesn't hurt at all. It's when he started tugging off my bands that's when it starting hurting. It felt like he was going to pull my tooth off ! But it honestly wasn't bad at all. I'm going in friday to get my retainers, (:

Another picture of my new (not so) pearly whites (: I was super excited taking this picture not gunna lie haha.
I also went out today and bought the Crest 3D Gentle Whitening strips. I bought these instead of the normal ones just because I already have sensitive teeth so putting on some harsh whitening strips might just kill me. I heard these ones are perfect for people with sensitive teeth because it doesn't feel uncomfortable at all ! I tried them out today and they didn't make my teeth ache or anything. I'll do a review and a video about them once I either finish using them or start seeing results !
and of course I had to end the day with some red lipstick with my new brace-less teeth (:
