FOTD : Black Cherry
20:20
Even though I just bought Revlon Black Cherry today, I couldn't help but put it on. And I absolutely adore it. So dark it's beautiful <3
Just had a little bit of gold on my lids and a nice sharp winged out eyeliner and then of course my bold lip. Can't not get enough of the bold lips lately.

FOTD : Maybelline Fuchsia Flash
00:22I guess you can't really consider this a FOTD because you can't actually see my whole face in the picture, but anyways, I finally wore my Fuchsia Flash lipstick ! I've had it for quite a while now but I just never wore it. I wore it today though, and I absolutely loved it. It's so bright and gorgeous, I can't wait to rock it when it gets a little bit warmer. I also wore Lancome Raspberry Ice Juicy Tube on top so it has a nice glossy finish.
I'm hitting up walmart on sunday and I'm super excited about it because that means I'll have a bunch of new make up to try out ! Going to Walmart is super significant because the Walmart in Vancouver is super far from where I live so it's inconvenient for me to ever go there. But I made plans with my girlfriends to go on sunday to check out their make up prices and I know I'm going to end up getting a bunch of stuff so stay tuned for that !

December Favorites !
04:10
Well the month's coming to an end, which means it's time I hash out some favorites so maybe you guys can get an idea on some new purchases from the things that I'm currently lovin. I'm not sure if I'm going to make a december favorites video yet, but if I do, I'll definitely either update this post with that video or make a new post featuring just that video. But for now, it's just going to be a written post for now !
I only have 5 beauty favorites this month, but I have some of those random favorites like candles, ornaments and what not so yeup ! Starting with the beauty favorites..
First I have my BHcostmetics 88 Matte Palette. I have been wanting this palette for literally years now, but I just never took the initiative and ordered it. However, in early November, my friend called me up randomly one night and asked me if I still wanted the palette because she was planning to order one and said she could order one for me too. And of course, without hesitation, I said yes ! They were having a sale at the time too so it was a great chance for me to get the palette.
I definitely have not even been close to trying out all the colours yet, but I'm getting to it ! I'm excited to create some more colourful looks with it (so far I've only experimented with the Dark green and the Pink/Purple range.) Anyways, this was definitely a great purchase and one of my favorites of December if not of the whole year.
Next I have two fall/winter lipsticks, both from Maybelline. I've been obsessed with Maybelline lipsticks in general lately. The colour selection, the formula.. Everything about them has been just perfect for me. I have no idea why I haven't tried them before, but I'm so glad I have found them and I don't think I'm going to be getting a different brand of lipstick for a while !
The first shade is the one I purchased first and it's Blissful Berry. I was trying to find a good dark plummy shade for the colder months and I picked this one up at first. After using it for a while I realized I wanted an even darker shade then this one for the winter. Don't get me wrong, I still loved this colour regardless . It's a beautiful true berry colour, but when I bought this lipstick, I was aiming for a more dark and vampy colour....
So then I went out and picked up Deepest Cherry. Deepest Cherry was what I was looking for when I bought Blissful Berry. Its a dark, rosey, wine colour that when you build up, can look beautifully vampy. I am absolutely loving the dark lip for the winter so this is right up my alley.

My fourth beauty product (the lipsticks count as two) that I have been loving lately is this soft brown colour from my Smash Box In Bloom palette.

I used to use this colour to fill in my brows, but lately I've rediscovered it and started to use it as a blending colour in my crease, or just as a soft crease colour for my everyday look. It's a great colour for everyday because it's soft enough that it can look extremely natural and pretty in the crease yet still give your eyes the dimension it needs. I absolutely love it, and it's a very versatile colour.
Anyways guys, thanks so much for visiting !
Much love,

So the last beauty item I have in the post is my travelo ! I've actually only recently purchased this but I started loving it the day I brought it home. It's so useful, and so extremely convenient. I filled it up with this Guess perfume (not sure what the name is) and have been carrying it in my purse everyday. I bought my mom one as well, and she loves it just as much as I do. Think I can safely say that it really is just an amazing product since most of the beauty world seems to be loving it !
So onto the non-beauty related items.
First I have a candle to share with you, and this is my Winter Night candle from the Bath and Body Works White Barn collection. I am in LOVE with this candle, it smells amazing and I have been burning it all winter. This is actually my second jar of it and I'm just not getting sick of it. Another candle I loved and burnt up is the Fireside candle. Also just the perfect winter scent for cuddling up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate. mmmmmm....
After that I have my mini christmas tree that I have up in my room that I bought from Daiso. My family is quite Asian in our traditions so we don't have a tree, but I couldn't stand the thought of Christmas without a christmas tree so I set up a small one in my room to make myself feel better. I think I might keep this tree up all year round just because that's how much I love christmas.
Anyways, I wanted to share with you the two ornaments my boyfriend bought me for christmas ! I originally had only asked him for the Gold one but he ended up being perfect, and getting me both. (:
I absolutely ADORE these ornaments because 1. I LOVE starbucks, and 2. I LOVE the starbucks holiday cups/drinks and since they aren't here all year round, I have a ornament to hang on my little tree so I can see it all the time. I'm so happy he got them for me, so thanks b ;)
Alright, we're finally coming to the end of this post, and my last favorite of this month is this little clay charm that my little sister made me ! My little sister has been getting into making this awesome little clay charms lately, and she's REALLY good at it. Then again, I'm not that surprised since she's always been a very artistic little girl. Earlier this year, she made me an adorable pink macaroon charm that I have sitting in my jewelry box.
This time, she made me this little moon and star cell phone charm thing ! I think it's adorable and I am very thankful for her and this little charm. Since I have an iphone, there wasn't really a place on my phone for me to hang it, so I decided to hang it on my wallet ! That way I can always have it with me (:

FOTD : ft. Half Lashes
04:23
I know people are probably getting bored as hell with my FOTD videos or Get Ready With Me videos because that's all I've been doing lately, BUT I promise I'll change it up after this one. I have some reviews and some collection videos for you guys very soon so please be patient with me (:
But for now, here's another FOTD (face of the day), but I changed it up a bit I wore a pair of half lashes today.
Fun Fact Of The Day: I used to wear falsies EVERYDAY. There was a time period where I just couldn't be without them. Now-a-days I barely ever wear a full pair of falsies. Even for special occasions its rare. The only time I actually wear them now is when I know I'll be taking a lot of pictures just because falsies show up nicely in photos. However, I actually like to wear HALF lashes quite often. I think they give just the right amount of drama and also are light-weight, easy to apply, easy to remove and aren't NEARLY as much of a hassle as a full pair of lashes can be sometimes.
What I do, instead of going out and paying 3 dollars for a pair of half lashes, is cut the lashes I own in half ! Do you understand what a deal that is? that means for each pair of lashes I own, I have TWO pairs of half lashes ! ( the magic of math ). Anyways, These are the lashes that I used for this video .
And here are some pictures of the look I wore today ! I had a warm bronzey color in my crease and then I darkened the outer V with a darker warm brown. I added a pink colour just on the outer edge of the bronze just to warm up the look more and left the rest of the lid nice and bright with a shiny peachy champagne color and then went over that color with a glittery eyeshadow.
I actually ADORE how the half lashes look on me. I like how they're quite natural but has a flare just on the ends so it makes my lashes look super flirty ;)

Thanks for visiting (:

FOTD: Inspired Pink Holiday Eyes
21:26So this is the picture I was inspired by. I love looking through tumblr for inspirations for looks since there are so many to choose from.

Source: http://www.facebook.com/Maxineczka
This is my version of the look in this picture , I just toned it down a little bit and made it so the pink is more feathered out and blended in with the dark crease colour. (Also I tried to make it work better with my asian eyes)

Thought it would be the perfect look to wear for my Christmas Eve Family dinner ! Here's a tutorial on how I did this look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5qk5QoYGfY

Review : Chanel MOUSSE DOUCEUR
21:21
So here's my first beauty product review, and it's on a pretty high end skincare product.

Chanel Mousse Douceur Rinse-off Foaming Mousse Cleanser, Balance and Anti-Pollution.
This is actually one of the first Chanel skincare product that I have ever used. I mean, $45 for a cleanser? NAH. But the reason I got this is because something has been breaking me out lately and I coincidently just finished my Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Cleanser and my mom (being the awesome mother that she is) decided to treat us both to something a little better. ANYWAYS
The description of this cleanser on the Chanel website says : A rinse-off foaming mousse cleanser and makeup remover for normal-to-combination skin with the de-polluting power of Tulip Tree Extract and the emollient properties of Mallow Extract. Gently purifies while respecting skin's eco-balance, with moisturizing effects.
What I'm not quite understanding, is why this cleanser is called a foaming mousse cleanser. When squeezed out of the tube it is pearlescent white cream that holds it shape well. I wouldn't really consider it a moussey consistency though. However, I completely understand why the word foaming was thrown in there because that's really what it feels like on the skin. This cleanser lathers like a dream and "foamy" is really the best way to describe it. Honestly, how it feels on your face fits that description even better than my Aveeno cleanser despite it being legitimately a foaming cleanser (as in it's a foam consistency when pumped out).
Another thing I noticed about this cleanser is that it really does make my face feel completely clean. I think this is the first cleanser I have ever used that resulted to my face LITERALLY being "squeaky clean". It leaves no feeling of leftover residue like some cleansers feel and it makes my face feel almost.. purified? I also do have VERY dry skin (like to the point where it can get flaky at places during the winter) and MOST cleansers dry out my skin more. Mousse Douceur does not. I wouldn't say it leaves it moisturized but it definitely doesn't dry it out. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed.
Mousse Douceur is a perfumed cleanser, but the scent is definitely not overwhelming at all and is actually quite soft and enjoyable. I usually don't like it when my cleansers smell too strongly but this one is perfect.
Now down to the big question.... is it worth $45?
WELL, $45 is definitely a lot of money to spend on a face cleanser BUT, the tube is ginormous and the amount of product is quite generous. One tube can definitely last you a couple of months (given that you don't use a unreasonable amount everyday). It honestly really is as good as the reviews say, and it really does do its job amazingly.
I have to say though, a lot of cleansers, with much lower prices, do their jobs well too so.....
Let's just say, ask for this in your christmas/birthday wishlist (or treat yourself to it when you've been good) and just try it out. It really is worth the try. Switch it up between days with your regular cleanser and treat your skin to this one every other day. Who knows, maybe you'll fall in love with it like I have and decide it's worth it?
