So since i've really cut down on my makeup spending, but I still wanna be reviewing stuff for this blog, I've decided I'm gunna review my justfab purchase !

Honestly, I haven't tried any other dry shampoos so I really don't have anything to compare it with.. but I know this dry shampoo isn't great EVEN without the comparison.

After dipping it in the mascara however, the bristles look a lot shorter meaning this wand holds a lot of product which is good. This means you can evenly do a whole layer of mascara without re-dipping the brush. The more you dip your brush (or pump the wand in and out of the tube) the quicker the mascara will dry out because you are pumping air into the tube and this will eventually dry your mascara out.

I've tried this mascara out for a while now, and honestly, there's not many negative things I can say about it. The only problem I had with it is that the giant brush doesn't have any sort of aid at the tip to help easily apply mascara to the little lashes at the corner that doesn't get coated. But even this is justifiable because this giant wand truly is amazing for volume. It does wonders for my little asian lashes. The bristles grip my lashes really well while coating them, and I feel this helps lengthen my lashes greatly as well.

Also, even though I had not purchased the waterproof version, this mascara did not smudge on me what so ever. I had even applied it to my lower lashes (which I don't usually do due to smudging) and it didn't budge the whole day. There was minimal smudging even after a long 12hr day.

All in all, I think this is an amazing mascara. It does what it says it does and that is give lashes amazing volume. I would definitely repurchase this mascara, and it's even better because it's so inexpensive at the drugstore. If you can pick this product up any where near you, I definitely suggest you try it out.

On my eyes I'm wearing just a sharp winged out liner, Covergirl Lash Blast in Black Brown and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. It's simple, with a few products but it looks clean and sharp and neutral, just how I wanted it to look for this bold lip.

So with the regular "Colossal Volume" mascara by Maybelline being my favorite drugstore mascara, I was especially excited to try out the cat eye edition when it first came out. I love cat eyes and this mascara so I thought this would be perfect for me. The first time I tried it out I honestly wasn't that impressed. Even the second and third time I tried it I just didnt like it. It's definitely not a bad mascara, it just doesn't meet up with my expectations because the regular Colossal was so much better. This cat eye mascara is more of a lengthening mascara than a voluminous mascara. The reason I loved the regular colossal so much is because of the amazing volume it gives me.

Of course I didn't give up on it, because hey, I spent 10 bucks on it. I WILL get my money's worth (aka I will use up this whole tube of mascara) and the more I use it, the more I'm starting to like it. Yes, it is different from the regular Colossal because it's less of the voluminous look and more of a long spikey spidery look, but honestly, I'm just slowly falling in love with it. It's a different look which is why I guess I didn't like it at first, but this different look is a good look as well ! Other than it being "different" it honestly isn't much "worst" than the regular Colossal. It's formulation is good, nice and dark, not too wet (gets better after 2 or 3 uses), lengthens like crazy and it does what it claims to do ! 





















I picked up the non-waterproof one just because my lashes have no problem holding a curl so I didn't really need to water proof one. I also don't get much problems with smudging under the eye like I sometimes do with other mascaras so that's a plus. But yeah, that's my little review on the Maybelline Cat Eye Mascara. If you're like me, and you didn't like it the first times you tried it out because it was different from the regular one, give it another 2 tries. The more I'm using this mascara, I really am starting to like it a lot more. Would I rather purchase this mascara or the regular one? I would still say the regular Colossal (it is my favorite afterall) but I've only used this mascara about 4 - 5 times so who knows, maybe I'll end up liking it more.
