On my eyes I'm wearing just a sharp winged out liner, Covergirl Lash Blast in Black Brown and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. It's simple, with a few products but it looks clean and sharp and neutral, just how I wanted it to look for this bold lip.

I've been a fan of the triangle love story that is Archie's Comics since I was a little girl. It was cheap to buy, easy to read and just so darn adorable and hilarious. Choosing between Veronica and Betty was even hard for me. Betty was the sweet girl next door. So pretty, pure and simple. You can't NOT love her. But then there was Veronica... The sexy, beautiful rich daddy's girl. She was something bad but who didn't want to BE her ? When I saw that MAC was coming out with a line dedicated to them, I absolutely died.

The Fafi X MAC collection ): There's only been 2 other collections that I lusted after (but was not able to get) and it was the Fafi Collection and the Hello Kitty Collection. Finally they've got a new collection out of something I've loved every since I was small, and now that I actually HAVE a bit of money to spend, I've decided I'm going to snatch up one or two of these lipsticks !

I guess you can't really consider this a FOTD because you can't actually see my whole face in the picture, but anyways, I finally wore my Fuchsia Flash lipstick ! I've had it for quite a while now but I just never wore it. I wore it today though, and I absolutely loved it. It's so bright and gorgeous, I can't wait to rock it when it gets a little bit warmer. I also wore Lancome Raspberry Ice Juicy Tube on top so it has a nice glossy finish. 

I'm hitting up walmart on sunday and I'm super excited about it because that means I'll have a bunch of new make up to try out ! Going to Walmart is super significant because the Walmart in Vancouver is super far from where I live so it's inconvenient for me to ever go there. But I made plans with my girlfriends to go on sunday to check out their make up prices and I know I'm going to end up getting a bunch of stuff so stay tuned for that ! 

I have always had a problem with dry skin and dry lips. The dry skin part wasn't that big of a deal. I mean, it is annoying and I do have to apply lotion and cream more often then the regular person does but it really isn't that big of a hassle. Dry lips however, is the bigger problem. 
If you naturally have lips that are prone to chapping and dryness, you would already know what I'm about to tell you, but for those who are blessed .. let me tell you why it sucks to have super dry lips. 
1. They are constantly cracking. Just smiling, yawning, or even just opening my mouth a little too wide when I am taking a bite of my burger. BAM cracks and bleeds. NOT PLEASANT. 
2. They're flaky. The dead skin sometimes peel upwards, and it is extremely tempting to just peel off. but if you peel it, no matter how lightly and carefully you do it, you always end up ripping off a whole chunk of skin. PAINFUL. 
3. Can't wear lipstick. the colour will sink into the cracks and look absolutely horrible. YUCK.
4. NOBODY WANTS TO KISS A PAIR OF DRY AND CRACKED LIPS. 

It took me forever and a day to try and find some good lip balms that work for me, so if anyone else has extremely chapped lips and is looking for lip balm that doesn't just smell good but also get's the job done, maybe these can get you started. 
I know that what works for me, might not work for everyone, but maybe this could give you an idea on where to start looking ! 

So here it is, my list of moisturizing lip products that works ! (For me)

1. Blistex Natural Cooling Comforts: I actually was introduced to this by my boyfriend surprisingly. He took my Burt's Bees lip balm once cause he liked it and he said I could have his lip balm instead. It turned out to be this, and I ended up loving it ! It moisturizes well, it soothes my dry lips, easy to apply, and it even makes a good base for my lipsticks. However, what I noticed about this product is that it does fade away quickly and needs to be reapplied quite often. A lot of people also complain about the texture and consistency of this product and say that it is not comparable to the other Blistex products which have a thicker, waxier consistency, but I actually prefer this lighter consistency much more. Some people also say that this lipbalm gives a gritty feeling sometimes, but I have never experienced grittiness with this product. Overall, I really do like this and it just works for me. I do have to reapply it quite a bit but like with my lotions , I really don't mind that much. $1.99 @ most drugstores

Well the month's coming to an end, which means it's time I hash out some favorites so maybe you guys can get an idea on some new purchases from the things that I'm currently lovin. I'm not sure if I'm going to make a december favorites video yet, but if I do, I'll definitely either update this post with that video or make a new post featuring just that video. But for now, it's just going to be a written post for now !

I only have 5 beauty favorites this month, but I have some of those random favorites like candles, ornaments and what not so yeup ! Starting with the beauty favorites.. 


First I have my BHcostmetics 88 Matte Palette. I have been wanting this palette for literally years now, but I just never took the initiative and ordered it. However, in early November, my friend called me up randomly one night and asked me if I still wanted the palette because she was planning to order one and said she could order one for me too. And of course, without hesitation, I said yes ! They were having a sale at the time too so it was a great chance for me to get the palette. 
I definitely have not even been close to trying out all the colours yet, but I'm getting to it ! I'm excited to create some more colourful looks with it (so far I've only experimented with the Dark green and the Pink/Purple range.) Anyways, this was definitely a great purchase and one of my favorites of December if not of the whole year. 


Next I have two fall/winter lipsticks, both from Maybelline. I've been obsessed with Maybelline lipsticks in general lately. The colour selection, the formula.. Everything about them has been just perfect for me. I have no idea why I haven't tried them before, but I'm so glad I have found them and I don't think I'm going to be getting a different brand of lipstick for a while ! 


The first shade is the one I purchased first and it's Blissful Berry. I was trying to find a good dark plummy shade for the colder months and I picked this one up at first. After using it for a while I realized I wanted an even darker shade then this one for the winter. Don't get me wrong, I still loved this colour regardless . It's a beautiful true berry colour, but when I bought this lipstick, I was aiming for a more dark and vampy colour....

So then I went out and picked up Deepest Cherry. Deepest Cherry was what I was looking for when I bought Blissful Berry. Its a dark, rosey, wine colour that when you build up, can look beautifully vampy. I am absolutely loving the dark lip for the winter so this is right up my alley. 


My fourth beauty product (the lipsticks count as two) that I have been loving lately is this soft brown colour from my Smash Box In Bloom palette. 


I used to use this colour to fill in my brows, but lately I've rediscovered it and started to use it as a blending colour in my crease, or just as a soft crease colour for my everyday look. It's a great colour for everyday because it's soft enough that it can look extremely natural and pretty in the crease yet still give your eyes the dimension it needs. I absolutely love it, and it's a very versatile colour.

Lipsticks never appealed to me much until earlier this year. I have extremely dry lips (along with my skin), so it was always hard for me to find a lipstick that doesn't dry them out more. The only lipstick I would occasionally wear was maybe a nude one or a pink one. But the keyword in that sentence would be occasionally.
This year, however, I discovered the wonderful world of lipsticks ! After watching countless videos on youtube on fall trends, I just had to go out and try this whole dark lip thing for fall. And that's how it all started...
I've always had quite a couple of lipsticks lying around, but most of them were just those full sized Lancome lipsticks that come with a purchase sometimes (70% of my lipsticks are those). The first lipstick I actually bought was Nude Delight by Rimmel because everyone needs a good nude lip. But since then, my skin tone has changed, and I actually barely wear Nude Delight anymore.

Anyways, here's my very small lipstick collection ! You can see from the pictures that pretty much all of them look very new, and well that's because, as I said, I didn't really get into wearing lipsticks until earlier this year. So here it is.

So first, let's start off with my Lancome collection and an Estee Lauder
Like I said, I actually didn't technically buy any of these , they all came as gifts with purchase. And yes, my mom and I do buy quite a lot of Lancome products. Perfumes, Skincare, Makeup etc.


Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick:
Here are my last few lip products and I have 3 glosses and 2 tinted lip balms / VERY moisturzing lipsticks from Mentholatum.

Bubbly Wine - a very moisturizing lip product. I would consider this a tinted lip balm instead of a lipstick. It's a very pretty dark plum wine color. Looks much darker in the tube than it is when applied.

Pretty Pink - Same tinted lip balm product as Bubbly Wine except in a pretty warm toned pink color.

Raspberry Ice - a Lancome juicy tube. a Peachy Pink color with a gold shimmer.

Spring Fling - a clear Lancome juicy tube

Simmer - A golden peach Lancome juicy tube
