URBAN DECAY VICE 3 PALETTE + swatches
14:16
A few days ago I went into Sephora on a whim, because I wanted to treat myself to something nice. I had originally had my eye on the too faced natural eye palette but when I actually had the palette in my hands to swatch and play with, it just seemed too similar to most of my other palettes. My other palettes are mostly the same color scheme. It's all that natural, beige, gold, bronze, and brown pattern. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my neutrals. And no matter how much I lust after the beautiful and bright colours sometimes, I will always be a neutrals girl.
But this purchase was supposed to be a little treat for myself.
I would still consider purchasing the Chocolate Bar palette, but maybe a little later on when I have some extra dollars to spare. But for now, since I was going out of my way to splurge on something special, I wanted to get something a little different.
I've known about the vice palettes for quite sometime now, and have considered buying some of the previous versions. So I decided to give it a try this time around.
This palette comes with 20 never-before-seen colours that UD came out with. Despite having a few bright colours, I think this palette is still extremely wearable and contains a few BEAUTIFUL neutrals that I know I won't be able to live without now.
And can we take a moment just to admire this packaging ? WOWZA. it is flawless.
Here's an overview of all the eyeshadows. So far, just from swatches, I feel like my favorites are Alchemy, Downfall, Defy, and Sonic.
All of these eyeshadows are very buttery and creamy. I only had a problem with the colours Truth and Last Sin when swatching it, but it was nothing too bad. Truth was just not AS creamy as some of their other matte shades, and Last Sin has a little bit of fall out. But like I said, it was nothing crazy. They were still extraordinary eyeshadows.
The palette also came with a duo-ended brush. The handle is gold, and on one end it is a fluffy shader brush, quite similar to the blending brush on one of the sides of the duo-ended brush that came with the Naked 3 palette, but smaller.
And on the other side was a long, slightly tapered, blending brush that would be amazing for blending colours in the crease.
Down below I swatched all the eyeshadows in this palette for you guys, from right to left, row by row.
First row : Truth, Dragon, Vanity, Alien, Last Sin
Second row : Undone, Freeze, Lucky, Alchemy, Angel
Third row : Downfall, Heroine, Reign, Bondage, Defy
Last row : DTF, Brokedown, Bobby Dazzle, Sonic, Revolver
Hope this post was helpful for those of you wondering about this palette.
I will link the video of me talking more about this palette down below, in case you wanted a little more information bout it.

NATURAL BRONZE GLOW ft. Naked 1 palette
09:01
I wanted to go back to my trusty naked 1 palette and create a look that only consisted of colours that were from the original naked palette.
This is probably the most owned palette in the UD naked line, so I thought, not only do I get to play around with this gorgeous palette again, but it would also be super easy for anyone that watches the video to recreate the eye makeup, because chances are... they own this palette.

TREAT YO SELF : NARS VIRTUAL DOMINATION CHEEK PALETTE
15:20
I don't know if I have mentioned, but due to my car accident, and my stupid kidney infection, I wasn't able to go back to work for about 2 months. BTW, shoutout to my managers for not just firing my ass LOL.
But I recently started working again, and I finally got my first paycheque ! It's been a long time since I've gotten paid and I've been trying extra hard at work, so I've decided to buy myself a little gift :3
I BOUGHT THE NARS VIRTUAL DOMINATION CHEEK PALETTE.
I've been eyeing this limited edition baby down ever since it came out. I'm not usually the type to splurge on high end make up (drugstore all the way baby), but I couldn't resist with this one.
I'm just going to count it as my Christmas gift to myself. And as a little treat for being good and actually going to yoga, keeping up with school (mostly), and working more than before.
I'm not going to talk too much about the palette in this post, because I do plan to make a "heart it or hate it" video on this very soon. But I thought that I would at least give you guys some pictures and swatches of this beautiful creation.
Okay but first, before anything else, let's take a moment and just admire the packaging for a second.
It. Is. Gorgeous. I LOVE the extra layer of plastic that lays on top of the NARS title with the cool white design. It gives it this 3D feel to it, and it looks fantastic.
I am obsessed.
So this palette contains 1 highlighter, 3 blushes, and 1 bronzer. Sooooooooo beautiful ahhhhhh.
So from left to right, the 4 smaller products (and then the bronzer last) are called :
Miss Liberty (highlighter : peach beige with shimmer)
Deep Throat (Peach with Shimmer)
Sex Fantasy (Pale lavender pink)
Final Cut (Peach coral)
Laguna (brown with gold shimmer)
Here are the swatches. Laguna is the big one on top, and from left to right : Miss Liberty, Deep Throat, Sex Fantasy, and Final Cut.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Heart it or Hate it on this palette.
and not to mention I'm going to be using it in ALOT of my getting readys'.

REVIEW : MAC PEONY PETAL BLUSH
00:49
I think I've already talked about this blush once before, but I wanted to give you guys a swatch and review of the my very first MAC blush ; Peony Petal.
I originally went into the MAC store to purchase their Melba blush. I've been eyeing it down for quite some time now, and it is pretty much the prettiest soft peach colour ever.
However, the day I went in, they were actually fresh out of the Melba blush in pan form, so I decided I would pick up a different blush for the time being, just because I didn't want to leave the store without a buying something. It was just one of those days.
Peony Petal caught my eye because it looked very bright and daring in the pan, but when swatched, was actually a very soft barbie doll pink blush. One of the MAC girls applied it with a blush brush on the back of my hand and showed me how different it could look when lightly applied and heavily applied. It was definitely not what I went into MAC to buy, AT ALL, but my justification was "why not buy something that's different from all the other blushes you own."
Not a bad justification at all, but the only problem with that, is that I don't reach for this blush very often.
Here's it swatched on the back of my hand. I really tried to swatch it nice and hard for this photo, so you could see it's true colour on my skin. But usually when I use it, I don't ever apply it so heavy-handedly, so it actually comes off as a soft rosey cool toned pink.
I think this blush would look even better on someone with fairer skin than me, but even on my very yellow skintone, it gives off a nice soft glow.
This blush isn't as creamy or as pigmented as some of the other blushes I own, but that's actually fine for the blush that it is. Because it is such a bright colour, it makes it a lot more wearable due to the fact that it's not super pigmented. I would have to be a lot more careful applying it if it was. It is a little on the chalky side, but it isn't something that is hard to deal with, and you can tell that it is still a very high quality blush.
I definitely don't regret buying this blush, but I don't reach for it as often as I would like, when spending 20 something dollars on a blush.
It works well as a spring time / summer time blush because of it's bright dolly pink nature. Even in the winter, applied lightly to the tops of the apples of your cheek, it could give a very nice "I was just outside in the snow" look.
