Iphone Cases
15:11
So I have recently become old enough for the great responsibility of a credit card..
Which really... wasn't such a good idea. But thankfully I have a job to pay it off as well as a boyfriend that controls my spending.
But anyways, I've been shopping on ebay a lot (mostly just because it is so so easy to buy things...) and I got a whole bunch of new iphone 5 cases.
Here's one of them that I bought and I thought it was totally appropriate to use because it matches my new claws oh so well.
The case is pretty good quality; sturdy and looks amazing.
and I mean, for a couple of dollars (compared to the completely overpriced cases that you get from the apple store), it was pretty worth it.
Thought I would leave you guys with a link so you can go check out these mad deals as well ;)

Sweater Obsession
11:23
Outfit Details :
Cardigan + Sweater : Salvation Army Thrift
Jeans : H&M
Booties : Winners (fergalicious)
Bag : Marc by Marc Jacobs
So recently I realized that I have a bit of an obsession with sweaters. This realization happened when I noticed that an entire half of my closet is dedicated sweater space.
In my defence, it's not like I bought all these sweaters at one go. This collection was accumulated through two winters of thrifting. I know I need to clean out / revamp my closet soon, but they're all just so perfect...
As much as I wished that I went to UBC, sometimes SFU still surprises me. Was studying at MBC and decided to take a break. Looked up and couldn't help but admire the architectural design. It's little things like this that makes me appreciate my school a little more. SFU is just too... concrete. and dreary. and depressing... especially when it's raining? oh man, not a very pleasant place to be. But little details like these? They keep me going.

Arugula Salad & Stir-fry Recipes
14:24
Recently I had purchased this cook book called the '3-step Express meals". The cover of it caught my eye and so I decided to flip through it. Unlike other boring cookbooks with just black font on white pages, this one was decked out page to page with full page pictures of what you could make. So I decided to make dinner at my boyfriends house and try to cook up something yummy for us to eat. There are over 100 recipes in this book but I bookmarked a couple that was especially appealing to me. Anyways, if you're a cheapo (like I am sometimes) here are two of the recipes from the book.
Herbed Arugula-Tomato Salad with chicken.
Ingredients :
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 (4-ounce) chicken breaste cutlet
- 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
- 1 (5-ounce) package fresh baby arugula
- 1 teaspoon dried herbes de Provence
- 1 garlic clove minced
- half teaspoon salt
- half teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- cooking spray
Directions :
- combine 1 tbsp oil, rind, lemon juice and chicken and let stand for 5 min.
- in a separate bowl, combine tomatoes and arugula.
- for the dressing : combine herbes de Provence, garlic, salt, pepper, and gradually stir in 2 tbsp of oil.
- drizzle dressing and sugar over salad and toss
- heat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat pan with cooking spray. sprinkle a little bit of salt and pepper over chicken and then cook 2 min on each side or until finished. cut chicken into thin slices and serve over/with salad.
Spicy Beef and bell-peppers stir-fry
ingredients :
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 12 ounces flank steak, trimmed and cut diagonally across the grain into thin slices
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin slices
- 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into thin slices
- 3 tbsp soy-sauce
- 1 tbsp minced peeled fresh ginger
- 2 tsp chilli garlic sauce (I used the szechuan sauce bought from safeway)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Direction :
- heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. add oil to pan, swirl to coat. add steak to pan, cook 2 mins, searing on 1 side. turn steak over, and add bell peppers, cook 2 mins or until beef loses its pink colour, stirring constantly remove beef mixture from pan.
- add soy sauce, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce to pan and heat it.
- add the beef mixture back into the pan as well as green onions. toss well to coat.
- sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Hope this was helpful (: happy cooking !
